Fnatic

Fnatic is a professional esports organization headquartered in London, United Kingdom. Founded July 23, 2004, The team has players from around the world, across a variety of games, such as Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, League of Legends and Dota 2.

The organization was founded on 23 July 2004 by Sam Mathews and Anne Mathews. After playing several years for Fnatic, Patrik "cArn" Sättermon, a Counter-Strike player, became the Chief Gaming Officer of Fnatic in 2012. Wouter Sleijffers replaced Anne Mathews as CEO in 2015, whilst Sam Mathews is the Board Chairman

The company has its headquarters in London, near the Silicon Roundabout at Old Street, with a full-time senior management team including a CEO, CGO, Sales Director, Accounts Director and Head of Creative Services.

Fnatic also runs an independent digital agency, Sannpa, for businesses looking to be involved in eSports.

Real-time strategy

With DXRacer joining the list of sponsors, Fnatic decided to expand to Korea. On March 19, 2012 they announced that they will open the Fnatic Gaming House in Seoul. They became the first foreign team to establish a permanent training facility for players in Seoul. Fnatic picked up several talented players from the Korean StarCraft II scene. In January, "DeParture" and Warcraft legend "Moon", and "aLive" moved into the gaming house. They are coached by Hwanni, who also joined Fnatic that month. Later, OZ and Luvsic signed a contract with Fnatic. In 2012, Rain announces his retirement and leaves the team. He is followed by Byul, Ares and Moon. Only two players are left in Korea, forcing Fnatic to announce their closure of their gaming house in Seoul and the end of their contracts with aLive and OZ. In the mean time Harstem was promoted from the Academy to the main roster, and the team picks up SaSe, another well known face in the scene.

Ninjas in Pyjamas

Ninjas in Pyjamas (NiP) is a professional eSports organization from Sweden that currently fields a Counter-Strike: Global Offensive team. NiP's Counter-Strike enjoyed its greatest success from their initiation in 2000 until their dissolution in 2007.

Ninjas in Pyjamas was formed in June 2000, but solidified as a team in 2001 after several lineup and name changes
Their biggest success was winning the 2001 Cyberathlete Professional League World Championships after an extremely close final with X3 (a forerunner to Team 3D). Ninjas in Pyjamas struggled to find a sponsor, and as a result, joined the prominent e-sports organization SK Gaming and were known by the names SK Scandinavia and later SK Sweden. At SK, they continued their success. The prize money from their tournament victories in 2003 totalled approximately US$170,000 and every CPL event that year.

Ioann "Edward" Sukhariev - "Pistol King"

Edward is one of the most experienced players in Counter-Strike.

In real life, Ivan is a very serious and target oriented guy. He likes to read classics and believes to be a true connoisseur of the art. Edward wears his beard since 2012.

Edward has his very own and unique playing style which exemplifies consistency and efficiency. His ace with USP on de_tuscan can be found at the Counter-Strike's Hall of Fame because it is considered to be one of the best pistol rounds in history of the game. This is the reason why many call Edward the "Pistol King".

 Edward won well over 10 ASUS Cups which is a record achievement among the players from CIS. As for his in-game role, Edward can be often found making those important entry kills and madfragging his opponents in general which makes him one of the most efficient players on the team.

GuardiaN - one of the best snipers

Ladislav Kovács is one of the most vivid examples of a truly universal player. Before CS:GO came into the mix of the competitive gaming, this Slovakian guy played CS 1.6 and CS:Source professionally. He started playing CS over 10 years ago thanks to his brother who once bought a CD with some random shooter which was unfamiliar to most people at the time.GuardiaN moved onto CS:GO in the middle of 2012 before playing for myDGB, ePz, TCM-Gaming, 3DMAX and finally shining big in the Virtus.pro roster. He joined the ranks of Natus Vincere in December, 2013.

 Ladislav possesses several of the most important traits for an accomplished CS-player: perseverance, confidence and composure. Kovács is one of those guys who always try and give it their best, fighting hard for the very last round to win the match.

MLG Columbus 2016

November 20, 2015 – Valve today announced its next CS:GO Major Championship is happening next spring during MLG Columbus 2016, with the final matches being held at Nationwide Arena.

Taking place March 29 – April 3 in Columbus, Ohio, CS:GO’s next Major Championship will feature the top eight teams from DreamHack Open Cluj-Napoca, who will compete against eight Challengers decided by an offline qualifier.

Esports are coming to high school—in Sweden

Multiple high schools near Stockholm will be implementing esports programs for the upcoming 2015-16 school year, according to a report in Swedish website Aftonbladet. The programs at the three schools will focus on popular competitive titles like Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and Dota 2.
